Gosh, "Mark" is BRILLIANT!
the polls indicated that the majority wanted the government to stop fucking around and WIN, That's why the surge was supported by both parties.
Yes, when you look only at "the polls" conducted by those who want to continue the venture of murderous profiteering, you're correct Mark.

Unfortunately, one-sided polls do not show what really is happening.

Mark tries the Karl Rove trick: to deflect attention away from your own foibles, you accuse your adversary of having those flaws. Therefore Mark tries to say that the "majority" of Americans want to "stay and finish the job", when the truth is the exact opposite. In fact, the truth is that only
a tiny minority with no voice other than {their} parody like blogs
who support "staying and finishing the job."

It is bizarre to even call the murderous venture of profiteering a "job," but that's typical of a dissembler to minimize the wrongs and the pure evil at work by renaming the thing as something almost opposite what it really is.

It has been patent from the start that there NEVER was any plan to "finish the job," unless such "finishing" can be described as maintaining a permanent position in Iraq. That would be the only "job" that anyone ever wanted to finish, among those who are enjoying the profiteering venture which hinges upon murder of millions, and destruction of a culture, and dismantling of cultural icons and historic landmarks.

Yes, "Mark" would surely love for his fantasy to be true. But it remains a simple fantasy, offered by a simpleton.

Newsflash for all you suckers that voted for the Democrats. YOU GOT PLAYED, They never intended to back up their promises because they knew the truth that the vast majority of the American people support staying to get the job done, the polls indicated that the majority wanted the government to stop fucking around and WIN, That's why the surge was supported by both parties. You guys need to wake up and realize you are a tiny minority with no voice other than your parody like blogs - Mark

We just put up a little fake tree, 3 feet, white, with the usual ornaments, and I've been regaling Rob with stories of xmas in the '50's here in Merka, before the dark times, before the Empire.
I try not to think about 2008, because as wal says, there's plenty of time for the apocalypse.
I see few standing against the nightmare life here has become, and they don't count for much, just some of the citizens, or should we change that to "subjects"?
So let us good subjects raise a glass to the old year, that buried the fleshless corpse of the Republic, and another glass to the coming end. It can't be much longer, now. At least we have this site, and that steady dose of inflexible, unfettered Truth from Chris and the rest of our friends here, to give us that oasis of Reality that I think we all need. I know I do. And I'm very glad to be among you all. - Sheila S Hamlett Waller

Chris mate

Once when I engaged a pro-war person by using a Vietnam war analogy, they replied "we were helping our friends".
This staggering leap of logic stopped me in my tracks. There's no come back, really.
I know you can't, but try to take a break and get a little rest over Xsy. There's plenty of time for the Apocalypse next year.
God (no definition) bless you and yours

Moral Choice

Again and again, I am struck by the basic ethical problem being ignored by most of those delivering themselves of "opinions" on the warfare state we in which we live.
I note that it is rare to have a wing nut show up on this site, they seem to fail in the atmosphere here at Mr. Floyds'.
 It IS a moral question!
 Silence is complicity.
My efforts to lever a different point of view from the knee-jerk thinking of the few people I talk to are largely ignored, though I am sure that some lingering doubt gnaws away at their certitude.
This site, despite the rather bleak future which seems to be rolling down upon us all, gives me hope. It is something to know that one is not alone in standing against this nightmare. - Donald L. Smith

You whine, crank, and moan. You musty come from a Tennessee Onion farmers loins. You Groan and bemoan. Every season ya's get all snot nose like Rudolph the Yellow Reindeer. Tears, sniffles, and more Floyd dribble. You want a hunky for Hanukkah?
You are one of these liberal political journalist who think Happy Days need to last forever? Do something.

Run for Onion Farmer's son of the year OR become the first banjo player president. Buy a Rolls Royce. Take Senator Grossly out to lunch and have a bowl of French Fried Onions soup.

Buy your Mom some fancy cuff links made of fine gold and take your brother to the local parks. Ride the child's sea-saw. Lighten up. Go Wall-Mart and K-Mart shopping. Get into a beat while listening to lavatory music in the stalls. The dept.-shopper in the public bathroom commode-rooms can hear Jiggle bells pumped through the air.

The war's $70-billion means ketchup will be on the boiled cafeteria whiners. White bread buns at the DC and other inner city streets push-vendors will be wrapped in tinsel-foil.

After meals the park still is open for recreation. Swing on the local monkey bars, swings, and the National Federal Parks will soon be able to afford a big Ferris Wheel to be placed on top of the White House.

Thanks for standing up and deliver sauerkraut, M&M pretzel candy snacks, and red and white swirled candy McCain's.
Run for Joe Lieberman's senate seat. You can then chow on Chinese ground poison Purina brand cat food. Meow.
P.S. Where is my DVD and book? - Art James
